The selection and application of an array of piezoelectric sensors for assessing the state of respiratory organs in calves by the composition of the headspace of the exhaled condensate are discussed. We considered the relationship between the output recorded data, calculated data of the sensor array, and the state of the respiratory system of an animal, determined by the results of clinical and laboratory studies. The features of chemical composition of the headspace of samples of the exhaled breath condensate in the norm and with inflammation are described. The results enable recommendations on an array of piezoelectric sensors with selected modifiers and the recorded and calculated parameters of the “electronic nose” to develop a method for the rapid diagnosis of inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system in calves by the composition of the volatile fraction of the exhaled breath condensate. |
